Events and Activities

The day was grey and a bit nippy but the rain stayed off and we were all able to go around the fabulous gardens. Patrick Lines welcomed us and gave an expanded history about the house and distributed the brochures with a map which allowed us to go around the grounds at our own pace. Flapjacks and tea were served on the terrace about 3.00. Although September is the end of the season the gardens were still beautiful and such a lovely backdrop to the house built in 1470 and taken over by the current owners in 2006. It was a great outing and we look forward to the next Holt Society visit.
